New Marquette Law School Poll Shows Strong American Support for Work Permits for Long-Term Immigrants

American Business Immigration Coalition, Comité de 100, Latino Chamber of Commerce of Southeast Wisconsin, and Regional Business Leaders to Host Press Conference

MILWAUKEE, WI – On Thursday, December 11, the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC), Comité de 100, Latino Chamber of Commerce of Southeast Wisconsin, and other business leaders will gather at Milwaukee City Hall to urge Members of Congress and the Trump Administration to provide work permits for long-term law-abiding immigrants and citizenship for Dreamers.

This press conference follows a recent Marquette Law School poll indicating 72% of Americans would support a law issuing work permits to immigrants in the U.S. without legal status, provided they have lived here at least five years, have jobs, and have no criminal record.

Speakers will discuss the poll’s findings and the urgent need to support American businesses, strengthen communities, and secure America’s workforce.
